Musical Merriment at Midnight Walk for St Oswald's 06 Jul 2013 On Saturday 6th July people from across the North East will grab their Grease-style dresses, Chicago cabaret outfits and Wicked witches hats to take part in St Oswald’s Hospice musical-themed Midnight Walk. The annual 10km Midnight Walk starts at Newcastle Civic Centre and everyone from the age of ten, male or female, is encouraged to take part. All participants will receive a welcome pack, goody bag and well deserved hot bacon sandwich and cup of tea at the end of the walk. This year the Hospice are hoping 1000 people will take part in the walk and that £100,000 will be raised from the event. Danielle Neighbour, Fundraiser at St Oswald’s said: “We’re really looking forward to this year’s musical-themed Midnight Walk. There’ll be a musical twist to the evening’s entertainment and we’re hoping everyone will get dressed up as their favourite musical character! “The Midnight Walk is one of the biggest events in our fundraising calendar, it’s loads of fun and a great way to support a local charity which helps adults, young people and children from across the North East.” St Oswald’s Midnight Walk takes place on Saturday 6th July from Newcastle Civic Centre.
